Were the rattles there from the start, or have they arisen during use? Just curious - I haven't noticed any - yet.

My new 1.6 Tekna developed a rattle after about a week that was difficult to pin point but sounded like it was coming from the passenger seat. It was worse at speed.Turns out it was the tinfoil heat shield under the car, they put over the top of the exhaust pipe/CAT.I tightened up the fixings and bent it into a bit more of a streamlined shape and all is now quiet again. For the moment maybe........
It would appear common sense is not as common as it's name implies.

Amos, did the dealer sort the door rattles for you? My car has started to develop an intermittent rattle/buzz from the passenger door, seems to be related to engine speed and a specific vibration or harmonic.

I have a couple of rattles from the front doors. The first rattle was fixed as there is some form of cable in the door that was loose. There is another rattle that my local dealer thinks is caused by the fixings that hold the B pillar cover in place not holding the cover securely enough. Will let you know if they fix it.
I found a source of tiny rattles on both front door panels. To get rid of this unpleasant noise generator, take the door plate off and tape the inner door panel edge with black automotive textile tape. I took a photo for you which shows where the rattle comes from and what I did in order to get rid of it. Hope it helps.Cheershere is the "weak point"taped inner edge of door panel:make sure is not visible from outside:
