I noticed a wobble in the steering mainly when over 6o mph. The car has new tyres, brakes and discs. I had the balancing checked and it was out. The wheels having been re-balanced still have not cured the wobbling. Does anyone have any ideas as to possible causes. Oh and sometimes it's more pronounced than others.
Thanks in advance.
j10 wobbly front end.

I would say wheel bearings, the J10 is notorious for eating front wheel bearings.

Lift each wheel off the ground, with hands at 12 and 6 o'clock give wheel a good tug back and forth to check for any movement. Any movement would suggest bearings. Don't do it with hands at 3 and 9 o'clock as there will be natural movement through the steering.

Thanks for advice, I'll give it a bash at the weekend.Doug99 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 4:32 pm Lift each wheel off the ground, with hands at 12 and 6 o'clock give wheel a good tug back and forth to check for any movement. If it was the bearings, what would be the approximate cost to have new ones fitted?

Don't know what garages charge, but I replaced my OS front wheel bearing myself. £78 for a good quality bearing plus £12 for an ABS sensor as my old sensor would not come out of the bearing so had to drill it out. Normal spanners but you need a 32 mm socket for the main wheel nut. You need a ball joint splitter too, for the track rod end.
