Auto stop start
While travelling at around 40 mph and going round a corner the engine on my 1.5 acenta premium diesel just cut out ,all ignition warning lights were on as were all warning messages such as chassis control fault, low oil pressure ,service due ,stop start fault, plus others i cannot remember the only way i could get it to start was by removing the negative battery lead waiting 30 seconds then reconnecting, the engine started first time and there was no warning lights or messages and the car drove home perfect ,this is the 3rd time this has happened in 6 months and it still switches from stop start on and back to stop start off after 15 minutes any help would be appreciated thank you
Yes all done right, the stop start works correctly it just switches from on to off and vice versa causing the engine to faulter, the stop start switch is been completely overridden, and the engine suddenly stopping is something that started 8 months ago it stops without any warning
when you say start/stop switch are you on about the ignition button on the dash, or the start/stop button on the driver side above the bonnet open, fuel cap open buttons ?Joker55 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 8:38 pm Yes all done right, the stop start works correctly it just switches from on to off and vice versa causing the engine to faulter, the stop start switch is been completely overridden, and the engine suddenly stopping is something that started 8 months ago it stops without any warning
