Hi, I took my Qashqai into Halfords to get its near side dipped headlight bulb replaced. I left the guy to it and he came back and said that the metal bulb holder was not there. I think he may have dropped it in the engine bay - but I thought I’d be able to get one no problem and I’m having real difficulty finding the correct one. I have an MOT next week and need to get it fixed. I’ve tried scrapyards but they will only sell me the whole headlight unit. I’ve found similar online but they don’t quite look correct. Has anyone else had this issue and do you know what I can search for. I have been to the local Nissan dealership but they don’t have a part number. I’ve attached a photo from my other headlight
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to this forum.
This is slightly different but it suggests it's an adaptor for LED bulbs:

Equivalent from Amazon:

What bulb are you trying to fit?

I’ve found these on eBay for less than a fiver which says they will fit my car. So we shall see…
It’s such an easy thing to drop into the engine you’d think they’d be such an easy thing to get but everyone I’ve spoken to either has no idea or wants me to spend £150 on a new unit.
