New here and ignition trouble

Hi all,
I apologise for a long post and my first at that....
I recently had a new tyre fitted and I could hear my alarm keep going off. When true was all done, my car wouldn't start on keyless as it wouldn't turn. I had to use my key. The garage were adamant they hadn't done anything (possibly they didn't and its coincidence)
So now when I get out of the car and close the door I don't get the beeps before I lock it. It no longer locks and unlocks by the button on the door,just the remote. Now the last couple of days the key is going in but I can't turn it, same as the keyless way. I have no clue what this is and how to fix, I've replace the batteries in both fobs and nothing.
I'm not sure if this is electrical or ignition barrel. Its not the wheel lock as that is always free, it took me 10 minutes to get it to turn with the key today.
Thank you for any help. Its a 2008 NTec 1.6 petrol.
