If anyone read my intro when I joined and I can see many of you did, you will see my previous cars in the main were Mercedes and I frequented their forums. One thing that was of great interest and I am sure would benefit members on here is a section labelled Independent Servicing. It is basically a section where members could search for garages who service vehicles using OEM materials without the high costs of main dealers labour rates. When I owned a Mercedes, for example, it was serviced by a specialist independent Mercedes garage in Bristol who, as said, only used genuine MB parts usually installed by MB trained mechanics, but without the high labour costs. I am sure with a bit of hunting down, a similar network of independent Nissan garages could be found which could be entered somewhere on here for members to search.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

Qashowner, take a look at these examples I believe this is what you are referring to. See if this helps you - Dave
Most motorists are still under the impression that they need to take their nissan back to the main dealer for service or repair, otherwise it would affect their warranty. This is not the case as under European regulations, renewed in 2010, car owners are not obliged to go back to the main dealer during the vehicle’s warranty period, and independent garages can service your car leaving your warranty intact.

Thanks, great info on there. And yes, I was referring to when the cars are out of warranty, or in my case free servicing

Dave, thanks I have found someone from your post who is only 1 mile away so I will use them in the future. Had I known in Dec last I could have saved £60+ instead of paying the Main Dealer £199.
