Craigstekna,
S/S module will not void the warranty if you install it by using self stripping connectors which makes it fully removable with no marks left when you remove it. I don't like using these which is why I connected it permanently. Even so, I'm not afraid of voiding warranty because if any failure occurs (what ever it could be), Nissan would need to prove connection of reported error to this mod. I already know that they would fail, because what this module is doing is just "pressing the button for you".

Another thing would be if I was using engine performance kit which upsets a lot of car components (HW & SW), the engine includes.

Here is an example of self stripping connector: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/50-Blue- ... 94291.html

Duncho,

I also hate these damn connectors, I had to go through 4 of them to fit a single load resistor :(

Now then :)

I see on another site you put up some photos of load resistors at the front. Could you give some advice on getting more room to do it? I kinda bodged it due to the time it was taking, the lack of room to work and broken strip connectors.

I need to re-visit it soon and solder the wires and mount the resistors properly, but is it easy to just pop out the headlights to give beer access to the wires?

Thanks

Holly true, there is so little space for getting access to blinkers' wires, I struggled with that, too.
The issues is caused by stripping it to much thinner wires than those connectors are designed for. Luckily I didn't need to solder them as I would have the same "space concerns" as you :)

Rather than those horrible splicing things, I prefer using Posi-Tap connectors. For those not familiar with them, they use a little brass spike to make a small puncture in the insulation of the wire that is not obvious if you remove the connector later. The connector can be re-used as often as required. They come in a selection of sizes to cater for a range of wire gauges.

They're not common in the UK and buying them from the US isn't cheap. I get mine from a UK seller, https://posi-connect.com - another vendor (though with fewer size choices) is http://kojaycat.co.uk/Connectors-Posi-Tap. They appear now and then on eBay as well.

Info on Posi-Taps and other locking solutions the company makes:

No worries, tomorrow I will start preparing modules for Europeans. I only needed one day to rest :)

I'm not a slave-driver Dan - you can have two days rest before doing mine, LOL.

I don't have your PayPal info yet but I'm sure you can e-mail me when you need the funds upfront.

It will be interesting to see any videos from the Singapore Connection, and also whether there's any feedback from Nissan resulting from this.
