Well has the Bubble finally burst for Nissan and now finally involved the QQ, is this just the start ? – Dave

South Korea plans to fine Nissan Motor 330 million won (£195,000;$279,920) for allegedly faking and manipulating emissions results on one of its car models which Nissan is denying. Following a probe into 20 diesel car models, the environment ministry claims Nissan's Qashqai SUV’s were found to have been fitted with a so-called defeat devices. It is now looking to recall 814 QQ's sold since November and plans to file a complaint on the head of Nissan's South Korean operations.

I have just been reading this also and it may well have been already posted but it is interesting - Dave  Sorry if it has been posted before !

Diesel : Euro 5’s NOx emissions limit is 0.18g/km, and for Euro 6 cars that’s 0.08g/km.

Petrol : Euro 5 and Euro 6 emissions limit is 0.06g/km

In the UK at least, we are as yet unaware of any 'cheat devices' having been used, but when the J11 1.5dc Teknai was first released it seems that the CO2 figures suggested were based on the lower spec models. This meant zero road fund licence. Since the beginning of the VW scandal, the J11 1.5dci Tekna now shows a CO2 emissions level according to which wheels it is sold with. All the steel wheels and the 17" alloys still show the car as 99 CO2 g/km, whereas the Tekna with 21" alloys now shows 103 CO2 g/km. This means that the same car now, that was on sale 2 years ago, now attracts a road fund licence fee. This appears to be nothing to do with the engine at all, more to do with the weight of the vehicle.

DaveBerlin, just looked on my logbook and it shows a NOx figure of 0.022 g/km. Be interesting to see what the figure is in real life when it comes time for its MOT.

I have just checked our Nissan Docs and on our 1,2L Manual it states CO2 combined 129 g/km and a NOx figure of 31,3 mg/km which is becoming very confussing - Dave

Looking at the Nissan Korea site, looks like they sell only the 1.6 dCi there, so a bit of a breather for the 1.5 users ;-)
1.5 dCi 360. Ink Blue; Mud Flaps and Internal rubber mats & after market door sill plates.

This is the response from Nissan on the claims of the South Korean Ministry - Dave

"The Qashqai sold in Korea complies with and has been homologated to European Euro 6 standards and Korean regulations permit the importation and sales of vehicles that comply with these standards."
