Gel, this looks interesting !. I found this statement from Infiniti on the 14.04. which confirms your information, but pics are hard to find. Looks like it will be a surprise at the Show, this could be of interest to Jon ! - Dave

Inspired by Infiniti's 'Powerful Elegance' design philosophy, the QX Sport Inspiration features the brand's design hallmarks and stands out thanks to its striking design details and sophisticated craftsmanship. The concept rendering illustrates SUV-like proportions highlighted with wide muscular lines shoulders reminiscent of the Q60 Concept, floating A-pillars and extra-wide wheel arches.

Hi, If you get a copy of Diesel car Issue 349 May 2016 there is a reasonably full test of the Infiniti Q30 Sport 1.5D its in a twin test with the Volvo V40 R Design. Hope this helps

John, I think the point here is getting mixed I could be wrong though. You are correct there is an Infiniti Q30 Sport offered in Europe (Infiniti Website) and the US which I believe would be the Road Test you mentioned - see pics.

The data I put in on the Sport is for the Future "QX" Models which is the SUV Range of Sport Models especially for the US, if you read the Nissan attachment it does mention the SUV Models - Dave ;)

The Volvo won by a narrow margin , Not as good as the QQ , has a lot of Merc parts, I might be prejudiced over the QQ as I have owned one for over 9 years now , an early adopter!! although I must admit too having more niggles with this one in a year than 8+ years in the others put together.

I was a big Volvo fan (I still own two C70 coupés, much to my landlady's chagrin) and I was sure the V40 Cross-Country would be the
car for me when I went for my first Motability car. But Nissan was next door to the Volvo dealer and when I looked at the QQ, there
was no contest. Visibility was the main difficulty and the "around-view" camera system on the QQ was a deal breaker. I think the V40
was as "sporty" as this old body can deal with now, but those Infinitis certainly look very smart. My "compromise" choice would be a
Nissan Murano, although that 3.5 litre engine isn't very wallet-friendly!

Here is some updated facts from Infiniti on their QX Sport Inspiration Concept to be shown at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Design looks very similiar but larger than the QX30 Sport I saw in the USA - Dave ;)
