Drove home last night with rear fog lights on, but on inspection only the offside was working. Having contacted Nissan today (bulbs under warranty for 1st year) they are telling me that there is only one rear fog light on car and that is the driver (offside) and that there isn't a rear fog light on the passenger (near) side. Any chance that anyone can confirm whether this is true or not, many thanks.

Thank you Alleycat for taking the time to check for me.I was expecting both to be working when I came home this morning, it just didn't look right with only the one on but at least it's a relief that all is well.

I have a suspicion that it'll take a bulb and work. It's probably just blanked off to save a few pence on the bulb.I guess over millions of units it adds up.

Just to confirm ours is a LHD Tekna and it is only the Drivers Side that works - Dave

Apparently its European legislationthat there should only be one rear fog light. It is off side one. Don't know the exact date but it came into force around 1993.

Another stupid EU decision IMO; obviously visibility of vehicle in front better with 2 rear fogs, assuming not on at wrong time.
