Hi peeps,
so around 2 months ago this error first came on my dash with the engine management light coming on, it stops my cruise control from working.
it went in the garage and they didn't seem to know what the issues was, they deleted the codes and boom gone.
roll on about a month later, comes back on, i have done some research and 90% of the related issues seem to be to do with the battery. so, as this is a 2016 Nissan and it had the original battery on, also the battery was giving low readings i decided to get it changed thinking it would fix the issue.
roll on two weeks after its MOT and battery change, it has come back on again! im now at a loss! the car starts fine, no issues, everything seems fine, even when the issue is on
there is no power issues or anything.
has anyone had this problem and if so, have you had any success on diagnosing it?

sounds 'similar to the dashboard issues seen when damage to the ABS sensor or leads has occurred. Often due to fox chewing cables but also due to corrosion of wires. Search on here for those topics and have a read. If you come back, perhaps try and post a picture of the dashboard showing the errors.

I had this on my quashqai 2 weeks ago. Got told it was the alternator or battery. I changed the alternator after buying one from a local autoparts store but warning lights and stop/start failure still appearing. Gave the battery a charge for a weekend and car worked fine apart from all warning lights and stop start issue. The mechanic didnt know what the issue was. I called out an auto electrician who confirmed the car didnt like the new alternator that was fitted and its throwing out the warning lights because of this. I purchased an alternator directly from Nissan and had it fitted today. The issue is now resolved and no more warning lights or stop/start issue. Luckily the auto parts store gave me a refund on the other alternator!
Ahhh! Well the car has no issues, like starting or anything so maybe the alternator might have to be taken a look at sadlyJonny86 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 9:35 pm I had this on my quashqai 2 weeks ago. so still got the issues BUT i think i may have found the source which is very confusing.
i managed to wipe the codes and if i use my cruise control once, guaranteed that exactly a week later the issue will re-appear on the dash.
if i don't use my cruise control it never comes on and the issues never appears, soon as i use cruise control, exactly a week later the problem will appear.
which is very weird.
