Hi all newbie to this forum sorry if this has been asked and answered before but I need help and guidance in sorting out this issue basically no air con no cold air blowing pressure tested twice has been refilled twice and yep all gas has leaked now reading a few replies it seems this is an inherent manufacturing issue with the condenser unit, please bare in mind what I know about car engines is -100/100 so in layman terms what is the issue and how do I go about talking to Nissan so I can get this repaired I did ring my local Nissan but they quoted £199 for a diagnosis then the costs of any parts labour upwards of £800 but as I pointed how do you what parts I need when you’ve not looked at the car SILENCE from the other end, so it does seem as though Nissan do know about the problem anyway if I ring/visit nissan what Info do I need so when explaining the problems I know or it comes across as though what I’m talking about and £800 wow this sounds very expensive for what is required
Thanks for any replies
Mark

Condenser will need replaceing by the sound of it. Any good garage should be able to fit that and re-gas it and should be working like new again 😉

Try a specialist air conditioning workshop, had mine replaced for about £350 including regas, on the J11 it's the expensive stuff
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

Give it a couple of weeks and it’ll be cold outside and you won’t need the aircon, 😉 I’ve got the same issue, (I’ve just learnt to live with out air on) it’s likely to be the condenser. It are positioned in front of the radiator at the bottom of the grill and are prone to getting damaged by stone, I’ve been quite £350-£400 to replace by a local garage, I always avoid main dealers they a more thieves, 🙂

I had a similar issue, which turned out to be condenser radiator had a pinhole in it. Check for oil residue on the condenser. Replace mine myself for £55 part from GSF. Easy to replace. Then get it re-gassed.

You will need it. When getting in a car with a misted screen, turning on air con dries the air and clears the screen quickly.
