I'm having fuel problems on my 1.5 diesel Nissan qashqai, I decided to get a new fuel pump as I cant hear it switch on when I turn the ignition, when I removedthe fuel unit from the top of the fuel tank I have the plastic casing with the float but can't seem to find the motor it's no where inside the fuel tank does anyone know if the pump is located somewhere else it seems strange to me? See picture for what part im trying to find usually they are located inside the plastic fuel casing
Yeah seen this video it's a totally different fuel pump the motor in this video has the plastic casing with the fuel pump motor inside it , in the one I've removed from my qashqai it has no motor in that casing so no idea where the motor part goes
The car turns over no problem, got a new fuel filter checked all the fuel lines , I can pump some fuel from the bulb then get a couple of engine turns before it cuts out again

air in the system that may well be causeing your problems
