Hi Guys,

When I bought my 2015 Qashqai Tekna 18 months ago the Auto Stop/Start did not work. Then as the weather got hotter it sparked into life, only for it to stop again last Autumn. I made some enquiries and was advised that this might be because the battery was reaching its sell by date ( I presume it was the original battery). Everything else worked OK so I didn't rush out and buy a battery. I eventually replaced the battery 2 weeks ago and still get the fault displayed re the Auto Stop/Start. I have given the car a good run from Glasgow to Edinburgh and back to fully charge the battery and still get the fault notification.

I bought an OBD tester and the fault does not show on it so can't clear it.

Any ideas at all please?

Start/stop is always a bit hit and miss on working. If air-con on that may stop it from working. As you fitted a new batt did you make sure you got the correct type EFB . Also the car will need programming to tell it that new batt is fitted. You need to go to a garage to get that done

Ah, didn't know about having to get the car re-programmed. Sound advice my friend.

It's going in for its MOT & Service on Monday so I'll ask them to sort this out.

sorry, meant to say I double checked it was the correct battryr online and even spoke to the supplier to make sure....

So its EFB and not AGM you got fitted then

Strange pic as it shows AGM on that batt you got from the website. Check yours and see what it says on the sticker 😉
