Gel, that's sounds a nice addition and I have not seen that info' here yet. When you look at the Spec it does not look a Bad buy, but again it is a diesel and what is the planned for the future - Dave ;)

Gel, that is nice information again. Funnily enough I got an email Direct from Nissan (not our Dealer) on 02.12. with a lot of Facts and Offers on this new Model called here the X-Trail N-Vision priced at €34,550. For example if ordered before the 31.12.16 you get as stated :
Special price minus €4100 / Set of 17" Alloy Winter Wheels value €1305 / Order through Nissan Bank there is a Tank Voucher for €250 / Ins. Rebate of 33% / 5 Year Guarantee / free 1st Service.
It appears to be called the X-Trail Performance in the U.K. but the motor 2,0L DCi with 177PS @ 3750rpm / 380nm Torque @ 2000rpm looks interesting. The Top of Range prices are a little hefty though - Dave ;)

For those who have not seen the facts try this Nissan UK Catologue for interest :

These are just a copies in "German" of the overview (at the end are the special offers mentioned above) the rest of the facts were similiar to the U.K. Version (sorry no translation) :) :

Interesting info. Also press says xtrail is getting a facelift following the one to the rogue (. Dave has already covered this in a post). Strange they don't do the facelift for the uk and the new engine at the same time !

Paul, funny you should raise this point on the Facelift as this week on 29.11. "Autobild" Magazine published some comments on the X-Trail Facelift for 2017. The published pics are of the US Rogue so it appears that the Facelift could be a similiar one. I think I posted some pics when I was in the US but these are what was posted last week if of interest - Dave :)

After reading the facts on this new 177PS engine it looked interesting, but then this article appeared and it certainly makes you think is it worthwhile investing in a Diesel however good they are when these sort of plans are around (in 2025 I might not be around), OK it is way ahead but it needs thinking about.
You pay out good money and then the likelihood of getting a poor trade in value is high. In 2008 I had this problem in Berlin with an Audi A6 1,9L Diesel where there was no Catalysator Conversion available (therefore no Green Sticker) and I had to sell it at a low price just so I could get to drive in the City, I then bought a Nissan Note and stayed with Petrol - Dave ;)

In London City in 2017 new charges will come into effect also for older Pre Euro 4 Cars registered before 2004.

I was shopping at my 2nd Home "Lidl" last week and parked beside an X-Trail, it was the first time that I really noticed the size differences. The QQ is definitely the Little Brother - Dave :)

X-Trail : Length 4640mm x Width 1830mm x Height 1715mm x Wheelbase 2705mm

QQ : Length 4377mm x Width 1806mm x Height 1590mm x Wheelbase 2646mm

** These are just comparison figures as there does appear to be variances.
