Is it one of those lights that is supposed to show briefly when ignition is switched on to confirm bulb is working? I don't know much about the NJ10 I'm afraid.

Hi,
I have purchased 2013 QQ+2 (33k mileage) in second week of October2016 from Evans Halshaw Nissan Mansfield. My first diesel car. Just drove 1200 miles and the car is still within 3 months of purchase. last week it had start stop fault and red engine management light on. Took it to Evans Halshaw Leicester (as its near to my home ) and said DPF problem. Tried to regenerate but didnt work and said need replacing the DPF.
DPF cost 1388.93 + VAT
Labour 255.0 + VAT
Gasket 21.94 + VAT
Gasket 13.34 + VAT

Total 2015.05£

Its a big shock to me.

Does all these figures look realistic and the car will need new DPF at 34k mileage.

Get the rear oxygen sensor checked, along with the exhaust gas recirculation valve before you do anything with the dpf.
