Hi Guys,

I've been sold what I believe to be the wrong engine for my car.. It was stated as being a 2010 1.5dci 106bhp lump but it appears to be the later 110bhp lump and the seller is telling me its the right engine (it clearly is very different).

I'd be very grateful if any 2010 1.5dci owners could please post me a photo of their engine bay :)

thanks :)

My understanding is that in late 2010 Nissan adapted the 1.5 engine to a Euro5 "Pure Drive" version.

Two 2010 1.5 engines here, but as a 2015 QQ owner I'm not sure which is which... although I know the second pic is of a 60 plate which might make it the older version (logically a 65 would be a Euro5 engine).

The later engine may well have some features that are not compatible with your electronics and instrumentation but hopefully a J10/NJ10 owner can better advise you.

may be wrong but I think you are looking at no DPF on yours, one sent as replacement is with DPF,best of luck fitting that, too many differences I would of thought ☹

A DPF version would require different internal computers I'd imagine. I hope a 2010 owner can give better news but unfortunately it looks like you need to reject that engine as not fit for purpose on the intended vehicle :(

I have the top one in a 64-plate if it helps? It was advertised as a Euro 6 when I bought it, but as it has no Ad-Blue system, I suspect that it can't be a Euro 6?

Is it just me, or do they both look like the same engine, only the bottom one has the engine cowling removed? :?:

Random question - do you know what the engine code is on the unit you were sold? I've got a 2011 Renault scenic 1.5dci 110bhp with a knackered engine and am struggling to find a replacement. Wondering if this would be a match?

I need the K9K-836
