Hi Guys,

I'm replacing the engine on a QQ+2 after some numpty didn't refit the oil cap after a service and it ejected most of its oil out of the filler hole and its now knocking its nuts off

I have a dilemma though, I found a breaker with a 44k mile engine from a salvage car who assured me it was a 2010 model but I think it might have actually been later as the engine looks different (different oil filler position and different intake/boost pipes) so now I'm worried its not going to be compatible :(

The current engine looks like this:

But the new one (which the breaker assures me is from a 2010 QQ) looks like this:

Hi Eric,

They are both K9K engines (1.5 belt driven).. I think you are confusing the 1.5 with the 1.6 lump :)

I ended up identifying it as a K9K764 and the later one is a K9KD430.

DaveyLC I have a similar problem with my QQ. Were you successful in changing you engine with one with a different code?
