Everything was reset
This is not about actual MPG, it's about relative consumption. Comparing what the car has been happily doing for the last 12 months/20000km then suddenly almost doubling its fuel usage.
Terrible MPG 1.6dci
Well i can confirm that if you switch from mpg to l/100km it does indeed flip the bar from "empty to full".My car (petrol) is averaging 6.2l per 100km. So if your car is consuming 11 per 100km i can understand why you'd be pretty pee'd off.I've no idea how the garage can justify that as "normal".My car shouldn't be running, correctly, at around 45mpg and yours somewhere around 25mpg....
Nissan no more...

This is what my dashboard shows at idle, in Drive:uploads/916/2015-07-14_15.14.28.jpgMy long term average (over 20,000 miles) shows as 46mpg but when I do the maths at the pump it is usually around 40-42mpg........and I do not drive fast.

I've had the same reply from AD when I asked why I was only getting around 35mpg.
It seems that I have to accept the fact that my first diesel for 30 years and everybody tells me its normal for this car. I won't be getting another Nissan or diesel.Toffeeggs2015-07-17 11:03:00

Well it' been back at the garage for another 3 days, they've replaced the air filter so I shall see what the consumption is like now. They've also located the source of a very annoying squeak to an engine mount which they've replaced. Quality cars these I guess the joys of being an early innovator!

Although, with the new Juke I've got it's highlighted how good the ride is in the QQ. If people think theirs is crashy then I recommend a few days in a Juke just to see how magic carpet like it is!

I can back up what you say - dealer gave me a loan Juke tekna for 2 days, and the difference in ride quality and driveability/power is noticeable straight away..

I have just completed a fuelly over 1150 miles and recorded 56.5 mpg which is normal for my driving profile. Long runs on A and B roads with lots of slow towns and villages giving me an average speed of between 40 to 45 mph. I was testing posh fuel to see if it improved my fuel consumption. It made no difference so back to Morrisons special.

Top and bottom engine mounts replaced and they cleaned the air filter. Noise gone and fuel consumption back to normal*
*even though they still claim 8l/100km to be normal
