I wonder what Tekna mirror would cost if hit?Guess no one'd had experience yet. Saw this today on New Merc + mirror cost But the A45 costs £38,000, which, while not in any way cheap, does put it within reach of people to whom spending £1,200 on wing mirror casings is a little obscene. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/car ... 5-AMG.html

Gel they will be into the few hundreds each. The worry I have is that if someone clips it, (happens often) the casing goes into the road and someone drives over it then it will be me shelling out for a new one and not Nissan. They need to fix it!

Fancy naming a car after the Coventry Road! Have all the names of middle eastern tribes been taken now? ;-)

I know you can get mirror covers (chrome) for old QQ; if available forcurrent model, may be good investment.

Gel, I was at our Dealers today taking a look at our new QQ that has just been delivered and I mentioned to the Sales Guy that there were comments about the Mirror falling apart in the UK. He then mentioned there had been a Bulletin from Nissan today about a Plastic Material change which would most probably mean a Stiffer Material against a Flexible.
Your other question about Chromed Mirror Covers, Yes they are available in Chrome (Gloss) #KE960-4E500 or Iced Chrome (Matt) #KE960-4E500IC and my old price was a‚¬153 or with installation a‚¬208 by the Dealer. Hope this Helps you - Dave

Whilst on the topic of wing mirrors, does anyone else have mirrors that fold in / out at different speeds ? Oddly I noticed this on the demo I test drove as well !!

Tomo2001, I think you mean when the QQ is stationary and you Open / Close the Mirrors. We had this problem on the Juke Tekna when the Mirrors closed automatically on locking the Car. It was like a juddering effect which also happens in the Winter here, Ice buildup between the Plastics moving parts. To overcome this problem I go to the "Chemists" and get some WD40 spray it all over and clean it, normally this does the Job. The most likely reason is that there is bow or distortion on the Mating Plastics parts that are Rubbing and slowing the movement down - Hope this Helps Dave ?Y?Z
