So you've done it before. What are you worried about?

Yeah mine is orange peely too and a fair few surface imperfections that dried into the paint at application. Not the best paint I've seen on a new car.

You wont fix that with a polish.

-Give it a good clean.
-Mid grade Clay to take off the surface contaminants (does the paint feel gritty?) for a glassy finish.
-Assess the surface for scratches and polish accordingly if needed. Always use the lightest compound/polish that will do the job.
-Finish off with a good wax.

It'll be slick and glossy after a days work!

-Keep it clean with a good cleaning regime

As I've already said, I've done it loads of times and know what I'm doing.

I'm just asking about the pearlescent paint specifically as I've no experience of that and just thought I'd ask a question (which I now kinda regret).

I have used my DA loads of times on my pearlescent yellow Nissan 350z GT4 without issue. I am sure it will be fine.

Just looked at the pics. Nice.

I'm also running LMGT4s...which desperately need a refurb.

Yeah, I'm on that forum, but not very active.

I used to be a mod on there (Beavis) but just a honarary member now. I have had the GT4 since 2006.... but the car never see's winter and is just a summer fun car.

Well worth getting a refurb because these wheels command a high value if mint.

Oh, cool.

I rattle around all year in mine. Have actually got a service booked with Japex in the morning who also have new rear tyres for me to fit. Looking at the forecast, balding rear 275s ain't gonna be perfect for my journey there.
It's only about seven miles - could be fun.

Just spoken to a professional who confirms that it can be treated the same as normal paint.

I noticed that about a couple of new Qashqais at my local dealer late last year. That particular colour wasn't a hi-gloss finish on those 2 cars.
