Same thing happened to me... after much gnashing of teeth, Bristol Street Derby agreed to do a warranty replace. (Said they had to take the roof interior out - so it was a long job)... but now a few months later - the crazing is back.

Its a lease vehicle - so can I be bothered to go through it all again.....? Not sure they've rectified the problem with the parts yet....

webweaver, you do not have to go through all that again. As I mentioned it is just a matter of the snapping the End Caps in and out - Job Done. Just make sure they have ordered them and are delivered before you make a reservation - Dave ;)

Would be good if someone could post a video on replacing end caps, as I fear problem will reappear out of warranty, & be down to us to £replace£ in future years :(

UPDATE:

Just noticed when waxing that the rear n/side cap has developed the problem too :(

FAILING END CAPS PAINT FINISH

ALL 4 of my 4 replacement end caps (fitted June 2015) have now gone native, as before; on order. :(

The US Nissan Rogue seems to have no end caps on theirs...& I notice rear vents on glove centre console too:)

Gel, if you look at Richard's Post on the Centre Console modification you will see a couple of pics of the Infiniti Q30 / X-Trail that have the AC Outlets. I suppose being the US the Rogue will tend to get the Luxuries (or Fully Loaded) compared with our more basic European Models - Dave :)

I believe that's because the Rogue is equivalent to our X-Trail rather than the Qashqai. The X-Trail has the same roof rails and rear vents as pictured.

ROOF RAIL END CAPS:

Anyone had new end caps fitted of late?; my dealer has 4 on order for a couple of months but still has no idea when they'll materialise.
I gather none in UK stock; only positive may be that Nissan are (hopefully) amending the spec that causes the paint failure after less than a year.
If they go again in 2017, I'll then be out of warranty, but I don't intend paying :)

Mine were ordered early June to be fitted at car's first service late July; I guess I'll find out then whether they managed to get any!

Mine were replaced at its first service last week. They were ordered early June. We will see whether they last more than 6 months this time!
