Well I fitted the Piaa horns this afternoon and what a nightmare. One fitted where the existing one is, but only just, really had to squeeze it in and as for the other, it took me an age to find somewhere for it to go and even then it was pushing up against the plastic trim behind the grill. [/QUOTE]Jon how easy or otherwise to remove the grill, I have ordered the Piaa slim line horn and even have a guy standing by to fit them for me on the back of - a guy I know on the Forum says it's fairly straight-forward.

There are pozi screws to come out, which are a doddle. There are 4 plastic screws (retaining horizontal tray at top of grill) which are more fiddly: you turn anticlockwise a small way to unlock, then I used a carpet tack remover, resting on small piece of wood (to get more leverage) and they lift out. However, one or 2 of the 3 lugs can be resistant; keep going I only broke 1 lug, but it still went back in ok.

I have just fitted PIAA Slim fit horns. Took me about an hour to do and it's worth it. I got a proper sound coming from under the Bonet now. I'm very pleased.

Having read all the various comments regarding the 'noddy' horn, I bought the PAA slimline twin horn. Decided to ask the dealer to fit it as was a little concerned that if there were any problems in the future re other electrics which which could be said to have been caused by my fitting of them Anyway after telling me that this was the first time anyone had wanted it replaced it was agreed that it would be done at no charge to me Spoke to my dealer yesterday who said that he had gone into the workshop to see them fit it and after they had worked out the Chinese instructions had all been very impressed with the effect, job done

Mine refuses to fit non Nissan parts, so I had to use independent.Stated there were no noisier Nissan parts; I'd be shocked if the QQ Noddy horn was fitted on 350Z model. However, they claim that their fitting has caused issued with the recall s/ware update notinstalling.

If the plastic screws are the ones that hold the grill in place; they are easily removed, 1/4 turn then lift out.
