Hi, just took delivery 2 days ago of a new N-Connecta 1.6Dci auto. Very nice.
But.....alarm would not set last night. I tried everything. Every time I tried to lock the car, either with fob or one of the buttons, or by time delay, it would beeeeeep, then alarm would go off. Tried turning off internal motion sensor, opened and closed and slammed every door, looked for obstructions.
So, to save the neighbourhood's sleepless night, I had to drive it away and stay in it until Nissan opened this morning.
Fortunately, they have been very quick, and established that the bonnet switch/catch/sensor (not sure exactly, but whatever communicates that the bonnet is shut) was out of alignment.
Hopefully I'll be in my bed tonight!

Not the sort of night you want to be sleeping out in your car

This made me chuckle! Just a thought....could you have locked the car using the actual key inside the ikey without setting the alarm?

Out of interest ... is there a "double lock (or double tap to lock)" feature for locking the car whilst turning alarm off ?

My wifes Skoda will lock (with alarm activated) with one push of the lock button but another push will keep it locked but deactivate the alarm. Do Nissans do this ?
