Battery

Hi,
I will be away 5 weeks. I am going to leave the car in the garage in my house. I am just thinking whether to disconnect the battery or not. I case I disconnect it, whether I will have set the system again, I do not know, which is better. Thank you for your suggestions.

Wouldn't think necessary.
Your age battery should have plenty of capacity.
If safe & secure in garage, leave car unlocked so alarm system isn't using battery- that's assuming you have one fitted of course.
Additionally ensure battery is fully charged up before you leave by going for a long drive or via a battery charger.

Hello, Thank you for your reply, I do not have an alarm system installed in my car.

Turn EVERYTHING to the off position even if it's not operating as in: interior lights, ventilation fan, radio etc. There is supposedly some electrical discharge from these when they are not turned on......................a sort of "standby/monitoring mode".

Emil, just to set your mind at rest our's is a 2014 Aug Model 1st Battery, mostly short runs. It was left for 9 weeks while we were in the US and it started 1st time with no special actions - this was the 2nd second time perhaps we were lucky Dave

Hello everybody,
I was away from the 7th Dec. and have not used the car until today. Today I managed to start the car without any problems.

That's great News. Whilst you were away although we had no Battery issues as such, our Dealer decided to install a new Battery due to some Electronic Fault Issues which were nothing major, I did not argue so got a new Battery - Dave
