I unfortunately own a 15 plate Qashqai 1.2 petrol auto. My "mileage left to refill" indicator, which is near to the current mileage of the car at the bottom of the displays, has stopped "renewing" when I fill up. At a normal fill of petrol this indicator would around 400-440 miles remaining. However a week ago I filled to the brim and it only indicated 388 miles to refill. Fair enough I thought perhaps it wasn't as full as I thought, but it bothered me, so 50 odd miles later with it showing 333 miles remaining I refilled it to the very brim and afterwards there was no movement on the indicator, it still showed 333 miles remaining and it reduces as normal during driving. It's not re- settable. I went into my local main dealer Desira Motors of Great Yarmouth who treated me like an ignoramus, suggesting that it was my manner of driving which is plainly not the case as my fuel consumption gauge shows 38.7mpg just around town. What will happen when it shows around 50 miles remaining to refill, warning lights start and I've still got a nearly full tank? Before then however, I will visit a different main dealer and hope for a more respectful audience. it's probably a minor issue and I'm unlikely to be stranded with a full tank, but I'm incensed that I was treated with such disdain by a main dealer. I've had three Qashqais now and ALWAYS the "mileage to refill" indicator resets at around 400+ immediately leaving the pump. Until now that is. This is only the latest of niggling electrical faults with my latest Qashqai. Getting rid soon, no more Nissan.
Anyone had a similar issue with the mileage remaining indicator?

The figure after refuelling does vary significantly - it can be quite a wide range depending on how you've driven it in the last few miles. I've never seen it as a issue.

As above.......................it seems to be working correctly. After only 50 miles you wouldn't be able to get enough fuel in to reset the system. If you don't get on with Desira, try Hammonds of Halesworth who I use. They have several awards for being top in the country for customer service.
