Hi everyone.
My brother has a qashqai that has had a little bump and had to replace the drivers door and door mirror. He managed to get second hand bits in exacly the same colour but has a problem with the operation of the door mirrors.
The Drivers door one (i.e the replaced one) only works (folds in) via the switch on the door and does not automatically close when the car is locked.
However, the passenger side (untouched), only folds in when the car is locked and does not operate when the door fold switch is pressed.
Hence, they appear to be out of sync with each other.
We are totally confused by this, as we would have expected only the replacement to have a problem. Wondering if something needs resetting or maybe a set-up routine needs to be performed to get them to operate the same (maybe like some car windows that need to be opened and closed fully after a bttery change before they automatically close etc).

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If replacement door was from an early Qashqai (2014) these did not have auto close function.
