Dear members , I was never really satisfied with the quality of the speakers. I finally changed all the door speakers and dashboard tweeters.
I installed the Focal speakers , which are recommended by Nissan, in their upgrade kit. R-165C (rear) , R-165S2 , and a Pioneer active sub woofer , TS-WX120A.
The subwoofer was installed with velcro scratch on the floor under the drivers seat , with the control inside the glove compartment.
Sound is 100% better. I really don't think that an extra amplifier is necessary.
Initially , I was contempating installing just the subwoofer. If you see the construction of the factory speakers , you'll be shocked!
Magnets the size of my watch , cheap plastic speaker housing . I guess they are OK for listening to news & sports , but not for music.
Cheers to all

do you have pics?

and did you do this yourself or take it to a place to have done? I can't imagine it was an easy job to get to the existing tweeters ?

I was thinking about installing the sub myself , but then decided to give the job to a shop. I ordered the Focal upgrade speakers Front/tweeters & Rear with built in tweeter. I purcahsed the Pioneer sub thru Amazon.de. The whole job cost me 370 euro.
I don't recommend DIY install. The built in dash tweeters were difficult to install. The factory tweeters had to be ripped out , and we kept the original
basr to attach the new tweeters.
Sorry, I don't have any pics , because everything is built in. I should have kept pictures of the original speakers. I couldn't believe how a large compant such as Nissan , would install such inferior speakers. It makes me wonder about the quality of other hidden components.
YOLO , Regards

I think i will try and find the specific focal speakers used for this and see if i can get them cheaper, I would imagine the larger speakers are a direct replacement. then just get a shop to fit the tweeters and the sub. I have been looking at this setup for a while now and also don't see the need for an amp.

The door speakers need the base attachment for nissan ( make sure it is included , otherwise you must order it seperately).
The subwoofer was connected with the rear speakers. In another thread , I've seen others connecting the sub thru the center console.
I don't advise that. It's nice to know that you have a large independent feed. I advise that the power line for the subwoofer be taken up front.

Hi,
I've just bought my QQ and was disappointed with the speakers, it's not that they sound bad, it's just that you don't look forward to listening to music in the car. I had the Bose system in my 2011 QQ and that was so much better.
So I've just booked it in to a local specialist to have BLAM 165rsq speakers and tweeters fitted up front and an Alpine PWE-S8 sub under the passenger seat. Should sound better than the focal system Nissan are selling and for less money. I'll let you know next week when it gets fitted!

Well, I've just picked it up from having the above set up fitted and, Wow! It sounds fantastic. Even better than the Bose system in the old car.

Good point, sorted! And yes, it does sound awesome! To anyone thinking of of having the Nissan (focal) upgrade, there are better options that cost less! You just need to find a good car audio outfit, you're not going to get this kind of quality and expert fitting from Halfords!

Without a doubt i would recommend upgrading the audio system in the Qashqai.
Earlier this year i swapped out the fronts and tweeters for some JBL components and the rears for a set of JBL coaxials.
I also had a focal Active sub installed in the boot and a separate amp behind the dash.

Everything looks factory fit, only the sub is visible and the sound is amazing compared to the stock set up. I listen to a lot of music in my car and the cost is irrelevant to me, it just needs to sound good.
