Satnav SD card version
Some are having trouble with not having safety camera alerts. I have them working fine and thought I would post a pic showing software installed on my system so others can check. You will find this in the Navigation Set Up area if i remember correctly. If you are having problems with safety cameras maybe this will tell you why if your software is different
I have the same screen on my car.I also managed to find another screen that had this information on it: -"File name: Alerts_0913.ntq""Download latest speed camera data from connect.nissan.eu"

Has anybody progressed this topic? My research leads to:
Copying the SDcard CID register (Card ID hex number...16bytes)
Emailing to China for them to write to a blank SDcard. They write it to the card and permanently lock off the CID register.
Receive SDcard and copy on application files.
MOQ is 5 or 10 SDcards at between $6 and $20 each...perhaps?
SDCards are not known name.
I can't get Linux to list the CID and other ID stuff yet. Use Laptop PCMIA card reader only. USB Controllers are a problem.
SDcard memory structure (access) and related appears to be very closely guarded.
Arduino could do it...may try just for a look see.
There are supposed to be old Samsung EVO cards about that could eliminate the need for China programming. CID changeable (DIY)
Spend and Risk too high I'd say.

Hi all
Played a lot around with this a couple of years ago and indeed it isn't easy to find SDs where the CID still can be changed.
You can find special SD cards with changeble CIDs but this is only worth the cost if you are planning to update your maps very regularly.
I ended up by buying a copy on eBay, coming from Riga. For something like €35-40,- you have all the work done.

Thanks Niek. I'm going to waste a bit of time on this and see what I can get out of the Chinese factories...help that is. I used to get some designs done out there. And my son hops in and out of HK/Shenzhen a lot.lapalmeraie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 12:34 pm Hi all
