Downgrading 19 to 17

This is my first reply to a post on this site.Done 1300 miles over the last 5 weeks in my 1.5dci Tekna on the standard 19" wheels and standard Continental tyres.This is my first experience of both a diesel engine, wheels this large and low profile tyres.Up to now I cannot detect any road noise at all. Absolutely none.Yes, I can feel a little more over small ripples on the road surface, but up to now I feel that this is because I am riding on a stiffer suspension than the last 14 years in my old Megane.As I get more mileage under my belt I will post updates.

If anyone is interested there are a lot of New/neerly new 17 inch QQ wheels on ebay. Looks like a lot of people are upgrading.
