Proprietary wheel cleaners, elbow grease and patience. Nothing wrong with a jetwash either.

The cleaning kit that came with my car has a really good wheel cleaner and polish.

switchback, if you have such a good Wheel Cleaning Kit how about sharing the details on the Forum. It might well be a guide for other members - Thanks Dave ;)

Be careful of some of the cleaner fluids you can get - they are extremely acidic. There are other gentler ones our there that do not strip them so aggressively such as https://www.shopnshine.co.uk/valet-pro- ... cleaner-5l which is what I use...

Afterwards, dry them off and give them a coating of something like this https://www.shopnshine.co.uk/poorboys-wheel-sealant to protect them and make them easier to keep clean. Also, be careful of using wheel brushes on them - they generally have a metal shaft and this can scratch the finish surprisingly easily.

It was the Supagard "maintenance" kit for paint and wheels.
