Good idea! We went for the Ascenta partly because it comes with "only" 17 inch wheels. We have a horse and the farm where he is kept is accessed via a pot holed lane with crumbling edges. Low profile tyres not only give a worse ride but are very susceptible to sidewall damage which gets expensive.
Regarding RFL, a 1.5Dci on 17" wheels has zero RFL moving to 18" wheels puts the emmissions up and the RFL to £20

So I'm still a little confused, for general road use to minimise the bumps is 19" or 17" wheels better?
17" because there is more tyre to absorb bumps in the road. But the tradeoff is poorer handling.

I also have a anti misfuelling device ( see pictures) Caparo Rightfuel only a diesel nozzle will open the filler hence petrol cannot be accidentally filled £20 p+p just screw in to re place of the fuel filler cap. a very good investment . regards M
