Hi,
I currently have a westfalia detachable towbar on my Astra Twintop and I'm wondering if I can simply have it removed and fitted to my QQ? Would the electrics just plug in, do I need a new mounting bracket or are they universal?
Thanks for any help/info on this.

You will need a new tow bar. They are not a standardised design. Or to be more accurate, the cars are very different and therefore need a purpose built tow bracket. Your Westfalia removable hook might be the same but it might not be. You will have to check that.Just get the dealer or a specialist to fit suitable towing kit. Make sure you get the new multi-pin electric socket rather than the old type seven pin. An adapter is cheap enough to mate your seven pin trailer's socket to the new thirteen pin on the car.
Thanks Quacker I was guessing it wouldn't be possible but wanted confirmation. I will just have to buy another kit for the QQ
