TPMS Battery Life

I have been doing some google searches on these batteries, which are not replaceable because they are imbedded in the unit.The life span is expected to be between 5 and 10 years all things being equal i.e. mileage on car, punctures, local or motorway driving.I found it interesting to read that TPMS are included in the UK MOT, perhaps it is also included here in Ireland in our equivalent, NCT.New cars here are first tested after 4 years, and every 2 years thereafter, until the vehicle is then 10 years old when a yearly test applies.Our test centres are independent of garages, test only with no repair work.
