Hi all

I just got a 10 plate ntec, which i'm over the moon with,

its got a few chips here and there and as far as i can see the paint code is KAQ G
when ive googled it, it comes up as a couple of different names, im after the definitive answer
also what is the G for?

Well I tried to help but found nothing on the G part of the number also digging in on the KAQ I found a "Mineral Grey" and the more likely "Titanium Metallic" called up. I would ask a Nissan Dealer or Paint Shop - Sorry Dave
(One in German / one in English but only KAQ Titanium Metallic)

i will have another look tonight its in the service book its greyish silver but looks a bit blue to me when its cloudy overhead,

You need to get the paint code which is on the aluminium plate/sticker attached either in your bulkhead or by front door.
On my J11 it's on pillar by front door above the sticker with the tyre pressures on.

rang my local stealer and he doesn't know the name they go off the paint code,
don't suppose it really matters if this is the case.
The G is the trim code though he said,

we had a 93 cabriolet before and bought this yesterday,
i cant believe how high the bonnet is and how tank like it is!
its only a 1.6 ntec, so it feels quite docile compared to the saab, but i must say i really like it,

and im looking forward to burying my head in the manuals at weekend but so far im very pleased with it

Correct - "G" is the interior trim code (charcoal). Nothing to do with the paint.

Test on a hidden surface for colour match!

The paint has come and if my model brushes come im going ot have a bach tonight,

Really pleased with the car though, i must say considering i didnt want one!
