hello again.
Anyone know does the QQ have that fail safe system whereby it wont let you put in the wrong fuel i.e. petrol in a diesel engine and vice verce.

Cant find any reference to this and certainly don't want to experiment Ha! Ha!

Not as far as I know. Our new Pulsar diesel does not have anything other tan a diesel only sticker inside the filler flap.

As already said. No, just a sticker to remind you.

Pretty sure a diesel pump nozzle is too big to fit in a petrol filler.

There is a gadget you can buy to stop you putting petrol into a diesel but I stopped using mine as it kept blowing back and stopping the pump.
The Kuga I had before had a nifty built in valve instead of a filler cap that did the job well, not that I have made a mistake since swapping to diesel, hope I'm not tempting fate!

Hi Mine does, but it is aftermarket fit. I have had it on my last 3 Qashqais, a petrol nozzle will not activate the opening mechanism. petrol is smaller diameter I believe. But NO the Qashqai doesn't come with one as standard fit

I have a device that helps me avoid putting petrol in a diesel car or vice versa.

It's called my brain! :D
