Been putting the job off for weeks because it was always that little bit too windy or drizzly or sunny, LOL. Maybe I was just apprehensive about cocking it up. Anyway I went and fitted the deflectors today and it was quite easy, although the clips on the front passenger window fought back - probably because I added a narrow strip of 3M VHB tape along the top edge, although the driver's side was much more forgiving. Going to let them settle into position for 24 hours and check for wind leaks or extra noise tomorrow! For under £30 including delivery, I think they look quite stylish and well-made.

Thanks Alan! I thought their function was to reduce wind noise when partially open... but the air con is so efficient I don't "crack the window" much anyway, so they may end up as just a styling accessory!

I had my one day and then I took them off because of wind noise. They have been in the basement for 1 year now :)

I guess this Bank Holiday weekend trip to west Wales will be the acid test then. I am sure Mrs Hound will have something to say if they generate noticeable wind noise with the windows shut. Luckily I have slight hearing loss so maybe I won't hear either the wind noise or the complaining, LOL.

Well they do indeed make an irritating noise at 40mph or over. I will try taking the clips out in case they are compromising the window seal. If the noise continues I will be taking them out!

I've been thinking a while now of buying these wind deflectors, I cannot believe they make wind noise worse :( they look great on the qashqai. Why make these things if they cannot do the job, it's stupid!

Beats me why people call them 'wind deflectors' because thats not what they are designed to do. They are to allow the window to be slightly open for ventilation whilst preventing rain getting into the car, and that job they do well.
