Has anybody seen the 'Event' magazine in the Mail on Sunday. Chris Evans has done a road test and review on the QQ 1.6 Tekna cvt.
Not a good read if l may say. Might put alot of people off the thought of even a test drive. He has stated that the diesel engine is "hard bitten, rough and so, so loud. Think 2000,000mile builders Transit"
Just wondering if l have made a huge mistake in ordering my first 1.6 Tekna diesel car which, l have been informed, will be with me around first week in May.
Any comments anyone.

Are there any knowledgeable ginger car reviewers?

Please tell me you are not serious. You can't believe that CE knows anything about testing cars or writing reviews. You only need to read the reviews and road tests by just about every serious motoring magazine to see what a good car this is.

The 1.6 is the "noisiest" of the engines.Even Nissan will admit to that.It isn't anywhere near as bad as suggested by CE and noisiest is a term i use loosely in comparing the 3 units.I've not driven one but i was stood next to one that was going on test and it wasn't any better, or worse than my yeti diesel, which is a damn site quiter then the older style engine the previously owned touran had.It wasn't a CVT that i saw/heard but i can't imaigne the g'box would make the engine horrific unless it holds onto gears way too long?Wouldn't give it that much credence myself.
Nissan no more...

Not noticed anything untoward myself - in fact it is brilliant! Apart from the X-Trail which was noisy I had a BMW 330D before that and the Nissan QQ14 is the equal if not better than the BMW!

Tekna CVT 1.6 Magnetic Red - born 4/4/14 P/X 25/10/2015 for £19k with 12,000 on the clock - great car but time to change. No problems whatsoever in those 18 month's.
