This is the consideration by Renault to kill of the Diesel Engine in Cars sold in Europe. This is the reaction due to the compliance of tighter Emission regulations. Renault / Nissan Cars emit 8x more the current Limits for Nitrogen Oxide. How is this going to affect Nissan ? - Dave ;)

Daewar, you are most likely correct regarding small cars. But Renault produced last year in the 3 Catogories : A = Twingo / B = Clio / C = Megane 1,6 Mio Cars and 60% were Diesels, quite a number. Will this affect Nissan also highly likely ? - Dave ;)

As long as production of diesel fuel is continued I'll be happy as I am more than happy with my 1.5dci and plan on running it into the ground, as I did my last car.

Considering Nissan currently use REnault derv engines in their 'standard class' of cars, then highly likely result in the dropping of derv from some model ranges.

To be honest, VW are doing the same! The derv engine as we know it has its days numbered!
