I have treated my screen with rain-X and I hardly need to use the wipers.(and it rains a lot in Scotland)....

Also did the glass roof..-the kids think it is hilarious watching the rain "weeeeeeeeeeeee" down the back of the car....

Anyone else tried this.. May save on wiper use...

Bpirie1000, this Treatment I believe has been used by many members with positive results. See below as stated under the same Post as your comment - Dave ;)

"Hi Peter, this Bosch Option is a very worthwhile addition just go for it Mate !. The Rainex Treatment is still working well for us and I think I will give the QQ a once over again before the Winter sets in here - Have a Good One Dave" :)

I have just ordered and received a Set of Bosch Aerotwin Wipers AR652S which are the longer version 650mm + 450mm (26" + 18") not the same as the Std. Nissan Wipers and included were 2x GELAN Wiper Rubbers Spares for free. It was time to replace the existing Bosch Wipers after 18 months. When I started to read the Bosch Instructions supplied they did not correspond with what I had so I generated a Doc Sheet for this conversion work. The installation was pretty easy to do and I now have a Spare Set of Bosch Wipers for the next change, it also saved throwing the complete old Blades away and I saved a few bucks in the process. I also installed a new Rear Bosch Wiper H301 (300mm) and treated the windows to another Dose of Rain-X.
I thought I would post this in case it is of some help to members if going this way when replacing the Rubbers - Dave :)

PS : the 2 inner arrows on the 5th pic should be pointing in the other direction (outwards) something happened on the data conversion from the original

Its on my page at 2-34, but also not on 8/34. Although I carry out the instructions all I get is the washer. Can the washer be switched off ? Perhaps then the blades would go into 'service position. I've bought some Bosch blades from Europarts

Hey DaveBerlin, those Bosch wipers are pretty pricey. They're what are currently on my QQ.
I was hoping to replace them with Universal flat blade wipers: https://www.greasemonkeydirect.com/coll ... lat-blades
But the question is, How Universal are these wipers, do you think they'll fit in place of the Bosch. I'm reluctant to buy some, only to realise they don't fit afterwards

Firstly Ian, it can be done but you have to be quick here is another Nissan instruction at the bottom of the attached page.

Black-is-Back, in my opinion you get what you pay for and I have always found the Bosch Blades to be the Best OK you have to shop around if you are looking at prices. I always use these Blades with the Windows treated with Rain-X.
The price from Grease Monkey look very cheap so if it is the price you are worried about I would give these a try. You cannot really lose out on them at £3,50 a piece, but again is the quality and rubber satisfactory. Possibly other members have some experience of these cheaper Blades. Now regarding the Fitment normally there are different Snap-On attachments supplied to suit different Wiper Arm Fittings. Personally I would just give them a go -Dave ;)

See smallest wiper that grease monkey offer is 350mm; 50mm bigger than needed for QQ rear screen- wonder if it'd fit. (2" makes a difference I'm told!!)

Get the AR652S twin set from Eurocarparts and they will cost around half of what Hallfords and the like are asking. They don't keep them in stock, you have to collect them the following day. I would not buy anything else. Quality at a good price.

gvmdaddy, what sort of cost do Europarts charge as I could not find this on line I am just interested for the next possible buy. ;) Just for example what I paid for the Bosch Aerotwins AR652S (+ 2 extra blades) this time was €25,96 (£22) + €4,90 (£4) postage and on eBay not including the 2extra blades €23,69 (£29) + postage, which I think is pretty reasonable - Dave :)

Just bought Bosch set from E Bay at prices shown: (No spare rubbers).
Rear one was £1 more at supplier of twin blades.
