Look what arrived yesterday! Brand new 1.5 dCi N-Connecta with downgrade to 17inch wheels to lower company car tax. 250miles driven already and all is well.

6000 miles in and I was subject to some road rage by angry van driver. He forcibly drove into the side of me, spun his van and then drove off without giving details. It was a miracle that he missed traffic in the 2 other lanes. Car needs new rear door, drivers door, wing and front bumper. Police have taken my dashcam footage showing me perfectly straight in my lane as he swipes in from the side. Crazy.

Glad you're ok! And thank goodness that you had a dashcam. Assuming it recorded the van driver's number plate, he is in for a nasty shock when Plod shows up at his door. Looks like you need a new wheel too. :(

Absolutely insane. Was it just a white van or did it have any company markings to help identify?

Horrendous and potentially deadly behaviour. Glad you're alright!

New mirror, and it may just be reflectoons on the photo, hut check your windscreen and headlight as they appear cracked. Bonnet also looks like its been pushed in slightly.

Crispyjay, what a set back getting rammed like that on a nearly new QQ, but on the positive side it is good you are OK. Hopefully the Police will get the Guy using the Dash Cam facts, over here these are still frowned on legally at present. The "White Van" or similiar Delivery Vans are a danger here as well, but when you talk to the drivers their schedules are so tight, they have to deliver the packet somehow, minimium wage and long hours and means hectic driving. This is no excuse for what happened to you and the Guy should taken off the road.
Now you have the problem of the repair which looks major (what damage is behind the Body Panels) and unfortunately it is Metallic Paint Job. I hope you get it all sorted very quickly - All the Best Dave

Status pdate:

Car repaired.
Police taking no further action due to "insufficient evidence" despite dash cam showing driver cutting across me, spinning, driving off without giving details. Unbelievable.

And then last night a boy racer ploughs into the back of my neighbour's parked car (the Suzuki), which in turn hits mine, and mine finally hits a friend's car. Witnesses suggest he was driving at great speed in a 30mph residential street which tallies with the damage. The picture shows the back of my car after separating neighbours car from the rear of mine. My car has moved 5feet or so from the secondary impact of my neighbour's car. Young lad gets out and proudly tells us all that it's 2 weeks since his last crash and then his mates cruise round and round having a laugh. This was over 24hours ago and police still haven't arrived. What is the world coming to.
