Missus kerb both near side alloys last night :( also bursting both rubber protector seals.
Can new seals be fitted to the alloys? also any recommendations for alloy repairs, they are not heavily kerb end.

Many thanks

If you have the diamond cut wheels you'd need to see a specialist who can regrind; expensive.
Google for locals in your area.
I protect mine with Alloygators. You could get them sanded & resprayed for around £60 a wheel.

What do you mean by 'bursting both rubber protector seals'?

Thanks for the reply.
My alloys have a rubber seal around them. I have a feeling that they are in position to protect the alloy before sale when I imagine they are removed.
The rubber seal is secured between the tyre wall and the alloy, probably about 10mm diameter or is this the same as you mention in your previous post.
Spoke with alloy specialist earlier about diamond cut and they require the car for 2 days and the cost for both wheels is £300, pretty hacked off at the minute tbh.

Just looked at the alloy gators, they seem to be similar but not the same as what I called rubber protector alloy seals

Sounds like theyve been an aftermarket addition. They can offer a little protection, but not much. In fact they can do more harm than good, as the clips used to secure them to the wheel damage the laquer which in turn may lead to 'white worm' which although it doesnt affect the strength of the wheel, it does look very bad cosmetically.

Bros, as you have now confirmed Alloygators appears to be the most popular type of protection for Alloys. But there are several other suppliers of this type of protection on the market, just to name a few :

https://www.alloygator.com
http://www.rimbladesusa.com/wheel-protection
http://www.rimpro-tec.com
http://www.rimskins.com

Just a word of warning there is a Post on the Forum regarding the "White Worm" (erosion of the Alloy) which forms beneath these Protectors and they are NOT recommended for Diamond Cut Wheels (Tekna). Just a word of warning ! - Dave ;)
