Key fob question

Hello guys,

I feel a bit stupid asking this question but here goes anyway.
I get the bit that say if your key fob is not working because battery is dead you can enter the car with the key.
Great........... How the hell do you start it if the fob battery is dead, there ain't no ignition key slot

i'll try that the next time the key is not recognised, it's a pain when you can unlock the car but the engine won't fire up!
