strange issue with usb stick and mp3s

Hi

New poster here.. liking the qashqai (tho missing my old nissan).

I have a quick question.

i seem to have the strangest issue with the stereo in my car. (qashqai 2013 - pre face lift)

I have 1 usb memory stick with music on, and it works fine. this stick is as old as the hills, so performance on it is terrible yet it works fine.

I have 2 other memory sticks, and the 1ST time i put music on it it plugged in and worked fine, however from then on after getting out of the car and turning off the ignition, when i got back in again, it will not recognise either stick.

the memory sticks are fine, i have reformatted and put stuff on again, however the car will no longer recognise the stick is inserted...

it isnt that they do not work which confuses me... it is that they both worked the 1st time and then wont be recognised since.

Does anyone have any ideas?
