Hi friends

I'm looking for a 2 inch car antenna for my 2012 QQ 1.5dci.

Unfortunately, my antenna is too long for my garage (which is very low! ) and even changing to a 3 inch aerial still gives me problems with the aerial just touching the garage ceiling when I enter the garage.

Can anyone direct me to a seller, anywhere in the world please?

Thanks

sarahmic, OK your's is an older model QQ but it should not matter. If you are looking for something on the small side then take a look at a "Sharks Fin Antenna" these should meet your Needs and they probably are the size you are looking for. There are a lot of just "Show Antenna's" just a Cover and actual working ones around, so take a look on eBay for example - Dave ;)
The one on our QQ which we also used on our Juke was from a Supplier in Canada. There has been a lot of testing and comments on this Antenna as it is NOT "DAB Compatible" as on the new QQ J11. But I carried out lots of checks here in Berlin and found no difference and took the Bull by the Horn and installed it and it is still functioning satisfactory.

Here are some of the Forum comments, if you have some time then take a read :)

Hi Dave. Unfortunately I have tried installation of a shark fin antenna to replace the actual aerial but even the Radio installer gave up because the QQ has to have the roof upholstery completely removed to get to the screw underneath the present aerial! I have seen some 2 inch aerials on Chinese sites but I'm not sure if they fit in . I'm trying to get a universal one. Thanks

sarahmic, you will have no problems with this antenna as it is basically a Shell with the electrics inside and all you need is to unscrew the old aerial, place the wire with a ring connector over the Base and then screw the lead with a screw in the roof aerial base. The Shark Fin Shell is then positioned over the top of the existing Base using Double Sided Tape already in place on mine. I will take a look for my installation instructions if you need them, but it is an easy job DIY - Dave ;)
