Could you make a better photo without pedal on it? From what I can see (carpet edge on the right side) there seems to be something wrong. Steering column is ok, all cars are that way.

What do you mean by: something is wrong?BTW the steering wheel is at the left of the car...

Maybe I'm wrong as I haven't seen RHD car in detail. That edge of the carpet I see on yours, I can't see on mine as it is hidden behind that plastic cover. I'm going to try finding a photo and will update this post if I find it.

I found one, not the best though. The carpet surrounding steering column is covered by the plastic cover on both sides.

So looking at the picture it seems like I am missing that metal cover?

Mine has started to make a noise now!Sounds as though its from inside. Will probably give the UJ a quick squirt of white grease see if that helps, otherwise its in for its service end of March so will just let them deal with it!

You have the cover there (it's made of plastic not metal). Just the right side of the cover seems not covering the carpet. Also, it could be that it looks completely different on RHD models compare to LHD. I don't know. Try make a better photo so that we see more steering column and gas pedal.

Just to let you know I got that squeaky noise on steering
wheel as well. I have seen Nissan guys for my yearly service and I have asked
for fix. They said that Nissan is aware of that issue and they have greased it
anda€¦..after 2 hours still the same issue.
On the top of that I got some noise sometimes coming out of
fans in the front console. Never has been checked. The rubber seals on the back
doors falling off as well. Software was changed and now car is overreacting on
emergency brakes and constantly beeps with shield warning like someone is
seating on the front of the car all the time.Forgot to mention about Start/Stop, which does not work at all!
All that for the car with 5K miles.
That's why I am so happy I went through leasing company.
Another two or maybe one year left and that's it. I have seen it, tried it and
I don't think I will be back to Nissan. This little issues and the way they
handled makes the picture clear. On the other hand £20+K car do its job a€¦.just.

Going to my dealer tomorrow anyway about the rails so will pick it up at that point
