Bob d, I had exactly the same symptoms, went to the dealers several times for it and was told to monitor it! Eventually they said the park brake ecm was faulty and fitted a new one, touch wood the fault hasn't reoccurred!

So are all new qq with 19" wheels coming with Dunlop sportmaxx?

Don't worry compact, I've never had to do that and we do short runs in our 1.5, never had a problem with the engine, its a tried and tested lump that (Renault engine) Nissan Renault and Mercedes use! Your doing the right thing!

Well document on here, early new shape QQ suffered from a dodgy batch of battery's, mine included, same symptoms, new battery fitted by dealer never came back, you could try a charge to get you home but likely to repeat it again. Sorry I can't be more help!
