Re: Noise/sound
It does it on the over run and apparently it's how they are but bizarrely it happens at a different point in the rev range on the Pulsar with the same 1.2 dig t engine where by it does it as soon as you snap off the throttle. I was told by the dealer it only happens on the 2016 QQ after I told the d...

Re: Noise/sound
Is it a bang or a pop noise? Mine used to pop/puff when letting of the throttle and Nissan told me it was the EGR valve and all the 2016 cars do it.

Re: Qashqai forum mentioned in The gaurdian
I bought a new Nissan Qashqai 1.2 DiG-T N-Connecta petrol car three months ago and the car has just had to have a new engine and new battery. It had not even done 1600 miles. Nissan insist they are allowed to do one repair before the car is 6 months old rather than replace it. I regard a whole new ...

Re: Qashqai forum mentioned in The gaurdian
When the timing chain started rattling on my brandnew QQ after only a few hundred miles the dealer told me it's not common for this to happen but that is obviously total bull. There again I also overheard the service assistant tell an old couple that the remap they had just carried out on their Juke...

Re: 2016 Qashqai problems
Just out of interest did Nissan offer to replace the vechile with another one of the same spec? Initially I was told the two options would be a partial refund or another car in the same spec but because they would want to keep me as a customer, the latter option would be made more attractive. When ...

Re: 2016 Qashqai problems
Nissan took the car back and I was refunded all but £1000 but seeing as I had the car 4.5 months and put 4500 miles on the clock it's a hit I didn't mind taking.MummyK wrote:What solution did you agree on?

Re: 2016 Qashqai problems
Hi I have experienced the exactly same problem as described above and I am now on my 3rd engine. My car was purchased at the end of May 2015. But yet to accept the car back from Nissan. The national newspaper the guardian are running my story along with a couple of local newspapers in my area. All ...

I'm truly amazed how bad the QQ is and so glad Nissan UK refunded me by buying the car back.

Re: 2016 Qashqai problems
Yes it's terrible and the real mpg figures are hidden from you when sat at the salesmans table. instead you are told 48 mpg from the 1.2 dig-t. The service manager told me that the quoted 48mpg is not Nissan's figure but an independent figure but when I told him that it's the figure stated on their ...
