Re: New Nissan Qashqai 2021 has fault from new

My 2015 QQ still does this sometimes, though not very often now. I assumed it was just my not closing the tailgate firmly enough. Like driving from the supermarket with a fully (over)loaded boot and the tailgate warning light comes on after a 100 yards causing a quick stop to get out and slam the ta...

Re: Nissan Connect LCN1 (J10) and LCN2 (J11) LATEST Map Europe

Having bought a 2015 Qashqai new 5 years ago, I was annoyed to discover the map was already two years out of date, and there was no new update immediately available. I've eventually had 2 updates in the 6 years of owning it, I'm now beginning to look for a new car and see Kia are giving completely f...

Re: FREE SatNav POI - SPEEDCAM REDLIGHT warnings

I realise this is an old(ish) topic but FWIW I was only able to update the Pois from pocketGPS when my usb drive was changed to FAT32 format. I'm pretty sure that FAT format used to work as I use the same stick but doesn't any more. I can only guess that some software change happened at annual servi...

Re: New "Qashqai"

It must be a scandinavian thing, i have just looked through the gallery and the only other I have found, apart from mine in Denmark, with headlight washers is Vikingred's in Norway. My previous (2009) Tekna had headlight washers so I was a little disappointed to find the new one doesn't. A retrogra...

Re: Electronic Parking Brake & Hill Start Assist probelms

The HSA on mine doesn't engage on small slopes and the car will roll back. It does work on 'proper' inclines though. These days I nearly always use just the footbrake and HSA for hills. I find using the EPB on some hills needs 5000+ revs to overcome the brake and the embarrassing noises and dust clo...

Re: Left hand stork with lights functions on it

For the first couple of months I was switching the headlights on whenever I signalled. Somehow this has stopped happening. My feeling is that i've got used to the position of the stalk and have now learned not to impinge on the headlight control. If I'd tried of the O ring trick I'd be saying it was...

Re: Newbie!

Forward Collision Warning system uses a radar that is located behind the front bumper. It senses snowfall when the flakes are moderate to large in size, flashes a warning then disables the system until the ignition has been turned off and restarted. Not a problem, just a little disconcerting when i...

Even the option of paying for an annual update would be an improvement!
