1.5 dci mpg

My j11 is averaging 51mpg for my daily commute but did get 74mpg the other day driving to Southampton, though probably helped by the endless miles of 50mph limits on roadworks down the m3

Tyre Dust Caps

The wife spotted tonight that both my rear tyres no longer have dust caps (think that's what they are called) over where you amend the tyre pressure. Some local chav seems to have nicked them.

Where can I order spares from?

Insurance and panoramic rooof

I work in insurance though mainly in the corporate end of the spectrum but this includes motor fleet policies. These wordings do not define cover as windscreen but glass cover instead so it would extend to include any element of glass on the car. The excess only comes payable in the event of relplac...

Considering a new QQ

[quote="Alison556"] I've had the 1.2 petrol N-tech yesterday and today whilst my own car was in at the dealer and I must admit, I'm not sure. It's beautifully comfortable inside with loads of bells and whistles but there seems to be terrible lag when driving round town.A  On the open road,...

Living with the 1.5 dci engine

The only niggle I find is that 1st gear is a little slow but once out of that it is fine. You can comfortably overtake on motorways and go down the fast lane without causing someone behind to slam on the brakes. I recently did a 300 mile round trip with 2 kids and a boot full of luggage and there wa...

Considering a new QQ

[quote="iceman GR"] Since you had so many problems with the old one I wonder why would you even consider the more problematic new qq. Nice looking car and certainly an economical engine (though not as refined comparing even to my humble Yaris) but everything inside is and feels very cheap ...

Considering a new QQ

The 1.5 Diesel engine is superb, achieving excellent mpg (just got 73.1 average on a 150 mile trip this week) and you pay no road tax on it. However, you need to research DPF filters before considering choosing diesel for low mileage plus it also depends on your driving pattern. I myself only drive ...
